The Pokémon TCG market is constantly evolving and full of surprises. In recent months, there's been a noticeable resurgence in interest surrounding the hobby.

While the Sword & Shield era generated major excitement especially with the release of Alternate Art cards the early stages of the Scarlet & Violet era brought a noticeable slowdown.

However, interest in both the newer Scarlet & Violet sets and the older Sword & Shield sets is now climbing rapidly once again.

Each month, I’ll be publishing an edition of Pokémon TCG Value Watch, where I track the ongoing trends in card values from modern expansions.

Please note, this is not intended as financial advice. Rather, it’s meant to offer collectors insight into card availability and market movement—helpful for those of us looking to complete our collections.

Should you go after singles or try your luck with packs? Is that high-demand card still within reach? Let’s dig in.

This time, we’re examining the state of Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Journey Together, which launched in March 2025. Here in June 2025, we’re seeing some significant changes.

The set’s most sought-after card, Lillie’s Clefairy ex (Special Illustration Rare), has dropped in value by $34 compared to last month. This kind of dip isn’t unusual as the market stabilizes.

Other notable cards—like Salamence ex and N’s Zoroark ex, both also Special Illustration Rares—have seen similar declines, each falling by over $20.
