This immersive exhibit showcases life-size reconstructions of Pokémon fossil species alongside real-life ancient creatures, offering a fascinating comparison between the fictional and natural worlds.
According to the announcement, “Trainers of all ages are invited to explore the incredible world of fossils, from both the Pokémon universe and Earth’s own prehistoric past.”
A major highlight features replicas of Sue the T. rex beside Tyrantrum, and the Archaeopteryx displayed alongside the Pokémon Archeops, blending science and fantasy.
This educational and entertaining experience is perfect for visitors of all ages who are curious about both paleontology and the Pokémon franchise.
The exhibit originally opened in Japan in March and is currently traveling across the country. After wrapping up its stay in Fukui,
it will move on to the Benex Dinosaur Museum in Nagasaki (June 7 to September 11) and the Tokushima Prefectural Museum (October 4 to December 28).
Chicago will be the first stop outside of Japan, though additional international locations have not yet been announced.
