Pokémon Unite, the free-to-play team battle game released in 2021, has built a dedicated community of players by putting a fresh spin on Pokémon battles.

In this 5-vs-5 multiplayer format, players take direct control of Pokémon, making every match a fast-paced, strategic showdown.

One of the biggest thrills is seeing which new Pokémon will be added to the playable roster next—and now, fans finally have confirmation about an anticipated addition.

After teasing its debut earlier this year, Pokémon Unite has officially announced that Alcremie, the charming dessert-themed Pokémon from Generation 8, will be entering the arena on June 12.

The news came from the official @PokemonUnite account on X (formerly Twitter), along with a trailer showing Alcremie in action, complete with its signature cake-themed aesthetic.

When it joins the game, Alcremie will take on the Supporter role, helping teammates through healing or buffs during matches.

While full details about its abilities haven't been disclosed yet, players are speculating that its moveset could draw inspiration from its Gigantamax form seen in the mainline games.

Alcremie is the third and final Pokémon teased during the February Pokémon Presents showcase. It follows Suicune, who debuted on March 1, and Alolan Raichu, who joined the roster on April 16.

Since its launch, Pokémon Unite has steadily expanded its roster, now boasting over 73 playable Pokémon. Even so, this represents just a fraction of the broader Pokémon universe.

Many well-known favorites, especially from the Kanto region, are still missing. For example, Psyduck—a familiar face to long-time fans—only made its debut in late 2024.
